Abstract
The Wes Anderson and Roald Dahl Project exists to encourage the dediation and allocation of resources to enable the archival of the works of Roald Dahl in motion picture form, to be overseen by Wes Anderson.
Foundation
Extrapolated from the founding document.
“The WARD Project: Introducing the Wes Anderson and Roald Dahl Project” is the founding document of the Ward Project. It is core and central to the mission of the project and it the foundational to its entire existence.
An elaboration of “The Ward Project: Introducing the Wes Anderson and Roald Dahl Project.”
It often becomes expeditious for the course of history to be acted upon to change its natural trajectory. Human events have often acted upon and been acted upon by that unrelenting and unwavering force that presses ever forward, perceived by the human race as seconds, minutes, hours, days, and so forth.
It has not been uncharacteristic for humans to take note of the passage of time and attempt to record, analyze, predict, and manipulate it.
Recollection of the past is obstructed by the human race’s own frailties. Biases, ignorance, and a failure to record time as it happens leads to a vague understanding of history. Foretelling of the future is hindered by outside forces unknown and imperceivable to a mere mortal, yet that does not stop the human family from peering into the dark mists of the future as keenly as they can.
In their attempt to read both the past and future, humans are far more adept at the former than the latter. Generally, humans can barely see just a small bit in front of them as they are ushered at the speed of time into the darkness.
On occasion, the darkness draws back and turns a small piece of approaching unknown into inevitable known.
When the revealed becomes less appealing than the unknown, humans act with a particular sense of urgency in their never-ending attempt to steer the course of human history, but even during routine times, it is still prudent for the natural course of history to be amended. Never changing is the often reoccurrence of the necessity to alter the trajectory of history.
Certain collaborations and relationships have materialized to serve one purpose or another. From the Animal Kingdom to Human Civilization, cooperation is necessary for survival, advancement, and improved quality of life.
In times of desperation and in times of comfort, human beings have relied on their own relationships as well as the collaboration of others in their quest for life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
Despite the crucial and beneficial nature of collaboration, sometimes it is not a purely naturally occurring phenomenon. In this common occurrence, collaboration must be initiated by an interested actor, perhaps one of the potential collaborators. Sometimes, however, third-party involvement is a necessary catalyst for collaboration.
Those collaborations have sometimes been used as a tool for changing the course of history, and sometimes, the collaborations are the very change in the course of history that was being pursued.
It is with that understanding that this, and ensuing, documents are crafted.
The Wes Anderson and Roald Dahl Project, the WARD Project, or, the Project for the Promotion of Wes Anderson and Roald Dahl Collaboration, which does not directly or indirectly represent Anderson, Dahl, or either party and as such is acting as an interested third-party, formally makes the following statement and request.
Effective immediately and indefinitely henceforth, the WARD Project hereby calls upon the necessary actions to be taken to allow for every work and novel written by Roald Dahl to be adapted into a motion picture by Wes Anderson.
Under this accord, Wes Anderson is to revisit every Roald Dahl novel and turn it into a movie.
Anderson would be solely responsible for the completion of the task at hand and, at his own discretion and under the direction of only himself, could be called upon to write screenplay, direct, produce, or serve in any other role or perform any other task as he sees fit, in order to adapt every novel written by Dahl to film. Anderson is to be given full creative liberty and should be supplied with the required recourses necessary for him to work effectively and efficiently.
Tasked with an enchanting and portentous obligation with great historical, cultural, and anthropomorphic significance, should Anderson choose to accept the mandate, he will be met with high expectations for the quality of his work. Expectations that Dahl has already met and surpassed in his own work, unbeknownst of this mandate that would later come to pass.
It is indeed necessary at the present time for the course of history to be acted upon to change its natural trajectory.
